If we try to represent the crystal with an equivalent electric circuit, we have to consider two cases, i.e., when it vibrates and when it doesn’t. This natural frequency is almost constant. Conversely, when a potential difference is applied across one of the faces, a mechanical stress is produced along the other faces. The crystal exhibits the property that when a mechanical stress is applied across one of the faces of the crystal, a potential difference is developed across the opposite faces of the crystal. So, let us have an idea on piezo electric effect. The crystal used in crystal oscillator exhibits a property called as Piezo electric property. When a crystal wafer is cur perpendicular to X-axis, it is called as X-cut and when it is cut along Y-axis, it is called as Y-cut. The natural shape of a crystal is hexagonal. The principle of crystal oscillators depends upon the Piezo electric effect. Such oscillators are called as Crystal Oscillators. The use of piezo electric crystals in parallel resonant circuits provide high frequency stability in oscillators. In order to avoid this problem, the piezo electric crystals are being used in oscillators. In RC and LC oscillators the values of resistance, capacitance and inductance vary with temperature and hence the frequency gets affected. The CP Crits races take place within the grounds of the 2020 World Cup-winning champion of south-London parks. It does, however, mean that our local youth riders will get extended races, 18:30 – 18:55 for youth CDE and 19:00 – 19:45 for youth AB. This is simply because there is not enough light to run the full programme. Please note that on the first night, 26th April, it will be youth racing ONLY – no seniors or juniors. It’s a shorter series than in previous years owing to two music festivals being run back-to-back within the park: firstly the Wireless Festival and then the South Facing Festival. The last evening of racing will be on 14th June. We plan to run races on eight evenings starting with round two of the South East Region Youth Series on 26th April.
